Greetings

I just noticed that in Dark Mode, the "Symbols" and "Math" look... weird.
The other panes look fine.

Bonjour à tous,

Same on my computer in Dark Mode. Look at my LaTeX Palette:

There is no problem with the others tabs.

Weird?
That's exactly what anti-aliased black characters should look like
when rendered on a dark background. I've seen it many times.

The question should be how has this been handled with other panels?
What fonts are being used with them?
At what level is the colour inversion handled?
Before or after rendering the font at a fixed resolution?
Can a font specify it's own handling of how it is rendered on different background colours?

Cheers,

Ross

The other characters in the panel are "fonts" but the characters with problems are small tiff files. These must be handled differently in dark mode, but I do not consider this n important bug. There comes a time when it is necessary to get on with the rest of my life.

Will be fixed eventually.

Folks,

The problem with the Latex Panel in Dark Mode is fixed in version 4.14 here and thus will be fixed when TeXShop 4.14 is released. I hope that will be within a week or so.

Thanks for the reports; apologies for the original hasty reply.

Bonjour à tous,

Thank you very much Richard for your diligence!
This problem did not really upset me and I was not expecting a quick fix.
